Back to the yarn...an adventure in plying...

Look! I finished the never ending bag of wool!

Finally!!

So, I thought I'd give the andean ply a whirl. A way to ply from your wrist without having to ply from two separate balls of yarn.

I quickly realized...that 1) I was only half way through unwinding my spindle, 2) my hand was full, 3) I needed to pee.

So, I unwound it th long way...see...I'm almost done!

So then I had to break out the best thing ever. No, not the football, but the ball winder!

Looky! It's done. With only a little bit I had to snip. All ready to ply. Although, I did have to wind it twice because I didn't realize that the thread guider wasn't in the right position.

BUT, the never ending bag of wool is done!!

Yay! That means you need more roving, right? Should we go shopping? ;)

And isn't the ball winder the best? Useful AND fun!

Wow, that is a mightly impressive spindle of yarn! With the andean plying you can fill your hand, then slide it down onto your wrist and continue going. But, you then indeed have to finish the plying in one session. I ran into my own problems with that one this week, LOL!

Your singles look great though! I can't wait to see the final yarn!
